Caribbean

New for 1966!

The first 6 Caribbean's were launched for the 1966 season. In a brochure of mainly wooden craft these stood out with their spacious accommodation, free standing furniture where practical like settee's & bed's, warm air heating, electric fridge, forward well deck, and rear mounted engine for quieter cruising. Almost all were built to the standard layout offering two twin cabins and a fold up saloon double and settee single. Two years later, 1968 there were 16 running at 'Wilds and a few at other yards. Then things accelerated quickly from there. Who remember's if they go to 60 of them at Wilds? I think they did, and there was a lot with other operators too.
